How to add, edit or remove categories from your menu

In Hub you can add, edit and remove your menu categories. This article will show you how to group items together as a category and how to edit them.

With Hub, you can add, move, edit and remove a category using ‘Menu Manager’. Categories are how to group items together, e.g. Poké, Salads, Starters etc.

Adding a category

  • Go to the Menu Manager page in Hub

  • Select 'Edit menu' on the menu you want to add a category to

  • Scroll to the bottom of the menu and select '+ New category'

  • Choose a category name, write a description for your category and click 'Create category'

  • Click 'Publish' when you have added menu items to the category

You can make categories available to customers for only certain times of the day or days of the week, by creating a 'scheduled menu'.

Moving a category

  • Using Menu Manager, click 'Edit menu' and select the 'Menus' tab

  • Click on the name of the scheduled menu that you wish to edit

  • Click 'Edit categories' and select 'Change category position'

  • Re-order the categories as you wish

  • Click 'Save' and 'Publish' for any changes to take effect

Editing a category name or description

  • Find the category or category description you want to edit

  • Select the pencil icon on the right of the category name or description

  • Make your changes and confirm

  • Click 'Publish' to set your menu live with the new category name/description

Removing a category

  • Go to the category you want to remove

  • Click the three dots on the top right of the category

  • Select 'Delete category'

  • Confirm you’d like to delete this category

  • Click 'Publish' to set your menu live with the category removed
