A guide to displaying calorie information on your menu and item pages.
In England, if your business has 250 or more employees, you are legally required to display calorie and portion information to your customers at the point of choice - this includes your Deliveroo menu. Read The Calorie Labelling (Out of Home Sector) (England) Regulations 2021.
Deliveroo will also display the sentence “Adults need around 2000 kcal a day” at the bottom of your menu page automatically once you have added calorie information to your menu. It's your responsibility to make sure calorie information on your menu(s) is kept accurate and up-to-date at all times.
Menu Manager
Menu Manager provides you with a quick and easy way to include calorie information on your Deliveroo menu.
Adding and editing calorie information for menu items:
Log in to Hub
Click on the 'Menu manager' page in the sidebar
Select a menu to ‘Manage’
Select the item you want to add calorie information for or add 'New item'
In the 'Edit item' window, scroll down to Calories and add a numerical value that represents how many kilocalories the menu item is worth
Click 'Save' and then 'Publish' to update your menu
Tip: You can also add your portion information in the ‘Edit item’ window, using the ‘Description’ field. Here you can detail how many people an item is meant to be consumed by, for example, “serves 2-3 people.” This information is not required if the item only serves one person.
