How do I run an Advert?
First, open Partner Hub and tap Adverts on the left-hand side, under Marketer. From there, hit Get Started.
You’ll set a maximum budget, as well as a cost for each menu view and we’ll deduct that cost from your budget every time a customer taps on your Advert.
Then, simply choose a start and end date for your Advert and publish it to the app.
Alternatively, you can select the “Continually” option and your budget will refresh automatically every Monday, unless you cancel.

How do Adverts on Deliveroo work?
When you create your Advert, you’ll set a maximum budget and a cost for each menu view. Paying more for each menu view will help to increase your Advert’s prominence, but bear in mind your budget might get used up faster if you choose this option.
If you reduce your cost-per-view, your Advert might not generate many menu views (if any).

Where will my Advert appear on Deliveroo?
Adverts will appear in the Featured section of the app and may appear as a “Paid Placement” or words to that effect, near the top of the relevant Cuisine page, among other places.
That means hungry customers may see your brand name and photo before they start browsing Deliveroo, clearly labelled as an Advert. There are 10 Featured restaurants in the Featured section at any one time and 1 on the Cuisine page.
To give you the best possible results within your budget, we’ll show your Advert to the customers we think are the most likely to engage with your business, for example, if they’ve ordered a similar cuisine before.
This helps us look after your budget, as well as show customers Adverts that are the most relevant to them. Your performance will also depend on other partners' bids / advertising strategy, as well as your own.
It’s possible that your Advert might not appear in the app. This could be for a number of reasons, for instance your cost-per-view may be too low vs. other partner Adverts, or your Advert may not be relevant enough to the customers using the platform at that time.
How do I pay for running Adverts on Deliveroo?
Each week, we’ll debit the budget you used in the previous week from your next invoice.
You’ll pay for the number of clicks your Advert got in the previous week, with each click costing the cost-per-menu-view you set when you created your Advert.
When will my Advert end?
When your total budget is used up, at 23:59 on your end date or when you cancel your Advert, whichever comes first.
If you select the “Continually” option, your budget will refresh every Monday, unless you cancel your Advert.
Who will be able to see my Advert?
To give you the best possible results, we’ll show your Advert to the customers we think are the most likely to engage with your business, for example, if they’ve ordered a similar cuisine before.

Your performance will also depend on other partners' bids / advertising strategy, as well as your own.
Pay more for each menu view and you’ll help to increase your Advert’s prominence but bear in mind, that way, your budget might get used up faster.
How should I set a total budget?
This should be the maximum you’d like to spend, across all the sites you’re advertising. You might spend less than your total budget, but you’ll never spend more.
If you set a larger total budget, your Advert might last longer and be more effective as you’ll be able to cover more menu views.
VAT (or equivalent sales tax in your territory) will be applied where applicable on the cost of your Advert when we invoice you.
You can set up an Advert to run “Continually”, whereby the budget amount you select will refresh every Monday unless you cancel.
Your Advert will no longer run if your budget is used up in that week, and will run again at the start of the next week. You can cancel your Advert at any time.
How should I set my cost for each menu view?
If you’re new to advertising with Deliveroo, it’s best to start with the starting amount of the bid slider when you’re creating your Advert.
Pay more for each menu view and you’ll help to increase your Advert’s prominence but bear in mind, that way, your budget might get used up faster.
If you reduce your cost-per-view below the recommended amount, your Advert might not generate many menu views (if any).
How will I know how my Advert performed?
After your Advert ends, you’ll see a detailed report on its performance in Marketer, including how many menu views, orders and new customers your Advert attracted.
You’ll also be able to see how much of your total budget was spent.

Can I pause or change my Advert once it’s published?
You can edit your bid during a live campaign. You can’t pause an advert.
Can I run an offer and an Advert at the same time?
Yes. Combining offers and Adverts can be a powerful way to boost your growth.
From what we have seen so far with the use of this tool, running an offer can be a great way to encourage customers to place an order, after they tap on your Advert.
I’m not getting menu views through my Advert. What should I do?
Try editing your bid to a higher cost-per-view. That way, your Advert is likely to be more prominent in the app and could generate more views.
To encourage customers to view your menu, keep your prep times low and make sure your lead photo is compelling – read more here.
I’m not getting orders through my Advert. What should I do?
Try adding photos and descriptions to all of your menu items. This might make customers feel more confident in what they’re ordering and could help you get more orders next time.
An informative menu may also help encourage new customers to place their first order.
We have seen that running an offer can be a great way to encourage customers to place an order, after they tap on your Advert, too.
Can I run Adverts for different sites at the same time?
You can run multiple campaigns to make sure that your sites run the Adverts best suited to you, and your customers.
Specific bids can be applied to each individual campaign.
You can choose whether or not you allocate a ‘one off’ budget to each campaign, or if you’d prefer to run a continuous budget.
Please note, you can’t set up multiple campaigns across the same site. It also means that you can’t run a Roo funded campaign and a restaurant funded campaign at the same time for one site.
However, you can run multiple campaigns across a company. For example, if you have a site in London and Leeds, you can run a Roo funded campaign in London, and a restaurant funded campaign in Leeds.
Can I schedule multiple Adverts for the same time period?
You can now run multiple campaigns to make sure that your sites run the Adverts best suited to you, and your customers.

What are my options for paying for adverts?
You can choose to have a ‘one off’ budget, or a continuous budget, to pay for your Advert.
If you’re running a one off budget, you can assign a set amount to your account and your Advert will end once the allocated funds have run out or at 23:59 on your end date, whichever comes first.
If you choose a continuous budget, you’ll need to select ‘Continually’ when confirming your payment option. This will refresh every Monday.
Your Advert will no longer run if your budget is used up within the week, and will run again on the following Monday. You can cancel your Advert at any time.
Do adverts support weekly budgets?
You can set up an Advert to run “Continually”, whereby the budget amount you select will refresh every Monday.
Your Advert will no longer run if your budget is used up in that week, and will run again at the start of the next week. You can cancel your Advert at any time.
If I select to run my advert “Continually”, given that budgets refresh every Monday - what happens during the first week if I don’t create the campaign on a Monday?
If a partner selects to have their campaign run continually, during the first week of the campaign only the budget they allocate will be prorated, depending on when during the calendar week the campaign was created.
e.g. If you allocate a continuous budget of £700 and create your campaign on Thursday, your pro-rated budget for the first week of your campaign will be £400 (regardless of the hour you created your campaign), as there are 4 out of 7 days of the week remaining. For future weeks, your budget will be £700.
