How do I mark an item as out of stock?
If an item in an accepted order is unavailable, follow these steps:
Tap the three-dot menu (•••) on the order.
2. Select Item out of stock.
3. Select the unavailable item or items from the list.
4. Choose how long the item will be unavailable:
Sold out for today: The item won't be available to order for the rest of the day.
Off the menu: The item will stay unavailable until further notice.
5. Tap Confirm.
You'll then see a confirmation screen showing which items are out of stock and explaining that the original order will be cancelled without a cancellation fee.
Tap Cancel order to complete the process.
What happens after I mark an item as out of stock?
When you complete the process:
The original order is cancelled.
The customer is notified that an item is unavailable.
The customer can place a new order without the unavailable item or choose a substitute.
You won't be charged a cancellation fee for cancelling through this process.
Important: Don't prepare the original order once it's been cancelled. If the customer places a new order, it will appear as a separate order in Order Manager.
