Adding unique identifiers on Menu Manager
Step 1: Click Edit Menu on the Menu Manager home screen
Step 2: Click on the three dots below the “Publish” button, which opens a pop-up window. Select Add International Article Numbers (IANs).
Step 3: Add unique identifiers for every item on the menu where applicable
Adding unique identifiers on Menu Manager API
If you’re using the Menu Manager API, you can add your unique identifiers by adding the codes in the “IAN” field when uploading a menu.
What makes a unique identifier valid?
A unique identifier is valid only if:
It contains only numeric digits, with no spaces, and
It’s only 8, 12, 13 or 14 characters long (limits vary by market and product), and
It has a correct “check digit” (the last digit of the unique identifier)
It relates to the correct product
