What is Pickup?
Pickup allows customers to order from your business on Deliveroo and collect their order directly, instead of having it delivered.

What’s changing?
From 5th June, Pickup will be enabled by default across most Merchant sites.
You will receive a communication from Deliveroo ahead of this change with full details.
Why is Pickup being enabled?
Pickup is part of offering customers more flexible ways to order from your business on Deliveroo. Pickup helps you:
Increase your visibility to more customers
Reach more customers across Deliveroo and discovery channels
Drive additional orders from customers looking for speed, convenience or to avoid delivery fees
Capture demand from top-up, urgent and on-the-go missions
How does Pickup work?
Customers select Pickup when placing an order
Orders appear in the same way as delivery orders
You prepare the order as usual
The customer collects the order directly from your location at the agreed time
Will this change how I operate?
No — there is no change to how you operate.
Orders appear in the same way
Preparation remains the same
You manage Pickup alongside your existing workflow
What about pricing?
Many Merchants align closely with their in-store prices to ensure a consistent customer experience.
To update your Pickup pricing:
Go to Menu Manager in your Deliveroo account
Update your in store price for your menu items
Publish your changes
If no changes are made, your existing delivery prices will be used by default.
When will this happen?
19th May – You will receive a formal communication
2nd June – Deadline to opt out
2nd–4th June – Pickup settings temporarily unavailable
5th June – Pickup enabled + self-serve controls available in Hub settings
Can I opt out?
Yes — you can opt out until 2nd June here.
From 5th June onwards, you can enable or disable Pickup at any time via your account settings.
Do I need to do anything?
Pickup will be enabled automatically on your site. From 5th June, you can manage Pickup availability for your site(s) at any time.
To ensure the best customer experience, we recommend:
Reviewing your Pickup pricing and aligning it with your in-store prices
Checking your menu is up to date
Preparing a clear collection point for customers
Your existing setup will work by default, but making these updates can help improve customer experience and order conversion.
