How to use Marketer Offers

You'll find Marketer in Hub. Log in and click 'Offers' in the navigation bar.

1. Choose your offer

In Marketer Offers you can create:

  • Basket discount Add a percentage discount to your entire menu, with a minimum spend. Great for boosting order volume and attracting new customers.

  • Item discount Select up to 10 items from your menu and add a percentage discount, with a minimum spend. Great for promoting high-margin items or creating offers for specific meal occasions.

  • Free delivery Save your customers the delivery fee on their orders. Ideal for boosting order volume without discounting your items.

  • Free items Offer free items with selected purchases including Buy 1, Get 1 Free. Great for increasing sales and encouraging customers to buy additional items.

2. Choose your customer

Once you’ve chosen the type of promotion you want to run, you can choose which customers you’d like to target:

  • All customers ordering on Deliveroo

  • Deliveroo Plus subscribers who order twice as often as other customers

  • New customers who have never ordered from you before

  • Lapsed customers who have ordered from you before but not in the last 56 days

3. Choose when & where

Choose the dates and how long you want your offer to run for. You can save time when planning your promotional calendar by setting up your offers in advance.

If you have more than one site, you can also choose which sites your offer is available at. You can create different offers at different sites, helping you tailor your promotions for the area each site is in.

Run multiple segmented campaigns. You can now run offers targeting different customers at the same time. Create an unlimited number of campaigns for any given customer or time of day.

4. Check how your offer performed

We collect insights about how your offers are performing, and share these when your offer ends. See how many menu visits your offer created, the number of customer who 'converted' and placed an order, and how many were from new customers.

How to get the most from Marketer Offers

1. Run offers for each customer segment

Tailor your offers to every taste and give customers the kind of offer they’re looking for.

Run multiple campaigns specifically for new, plus and lapsed customers at the same time.

Create time-of-day deals by creating an offer for each meal-time e.g lunch time special.

Please note that a customer will only be shown one offer at a time.

2. Target lapsed customers and win back previous customers

Worried that customers are not returning? Win them back by offering them a deal that they can’t resist.

Use the lapsed customer segment to run offers targeting customers who have ordered from you before but not in the last 56 days.

3. Target new customers and keep them coming back

With traditional offers, there’s no way to know how many orders come from new customers. With Marketer Offers, you can focus exclusively on reaching new audiences.

Worried that customers will order once and never return? We looked at our data and found that customers who discover you through a Marketer offer, are likely to order again at almost an identical rate compared to if they found you any other way.

We find offers with a low minimum order value (MOV) and a high percentage discount perform best, such a 25% off with a £15 minimum order value (MOV).

4. Take part in a Deliveroo marketing campaign

The Deliveroo marketing team is working constantly to create a marketing calendar that our restaurant partners can get involved in, at no extra cost.

We're here to help you increase your orders and customer base by offering multiple seasonal campaigns for you to join, such as 'Veganuary' or Valentine's Day offers, and promote your offers in the Deliveroo app, through local newsletters, and on our social media channels.

Partners that participate in a single Deliveroo marketing campaign see on average a 54% uplift in orders, 62% uplift in new customers, and 33% revenue growth.

5. Run an item-specific Flash Deal

Running a Flash Deal during slow times, such as a breakfast special or a closing time deal, can help generate interest in your restaurant.

The urgency of a Flash Deal can help you shift inventory, reduce food waste and reach new customers.

6. Free items

Free items are a great way to get customers to order more from you.

Offer customers a free item with selected purchases or Buy 1, Get 1 free on specific items.

Drive orders from different segments by combining Buy 1, Get 1 Free with the Lapsed, New or Deliveroo Plus customer segment.
