Introducing Deliveroo’s new Value Programme offer: Midweek Special

Midweek Special has replaced Tasty Thursday as a Deliveroo-funded offer for partners with Great or Good Value Programme scores.

The Value Programme provides a suite of offers to partners who deliver great value for money: a superior experience for a fair price. Since Deliveroo launched the programme in 2023, one of those offers has been Deliveroo-funded participation in the Tasty Thursday promotion for partners rated “Great” or “Good” in the Value Programme.

Following experiments, Deliveroo identified an opportunity to strengthen the offers in the Value Programme by replacing the Tasty Thursday offer with an all new promotion: Midweek Special.

What is Midweek Special?

  • The Midweek Special promotion will give customers 30% off their order from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM every Wednesday with an Minimum Order Value of £20 (€25) and a discount cap of £10 (€10)

  • Midweek Special will target customers who have never ordered from your brand (“new to brand” customers) or who have not ordered from your brand recently (“lapsed” customers)

  • Only “Great” and “Good” partners will be able to participate in the new Midweek Special promotion. “Great” sites will have the option to participate every week with the promotional discount funded by Deliveroo. “Good” sites will have the first two weeks they sign up for each month funded by Deliveroo and have the option to self-fund any additional weeks in the month.

Why have we made this change?

Deliveroo's experiments indicate that Midweek Special can generate more incremental orders for Great and Good partners, rather than just discounting those that would have occurred anyway.

By targeting new and lapsed customers, Midweek Special helps recruitment and retention of customers. This new offer can also increase order volume during typically quieter times when dine-in demand is lower.

Unlike Tasty Thursdays, Midweek Special is only available to partners with Great and Good value scores, offering these partners enhanced visibility as Deliveroo will provide significant marketing support for Midweek Special, aiming to make it a recognisable "moment" for customers.

What happens next?

  • Tasty Thursday will remain a Value Programme offer until Thursday 10th April.

  • Midweek Special will launch as a Value Programme offer on Wednesday 16th April.

  • The transition from Tasty Thursday to Midweek Special for Great and Good partners will work as follows:

  1. Partners signed up to Tasty Thursday dates after Thursday 10th April will be enrolled into Midweek Special automatically for the dates it is Deliveroo-funded and have Tasty Thursday cancelled

  2. Partners not signed up to Tasty Thursday dates post Thursday 10th April will not be signed up to Midweek Special, but will have the opportunity to sign up through the Partner Hub from Friday 11th April

  • Tasty Thursday will continue to run but participation in it will be entirely self-funded from Thursday 17th April. If you wish to continue participating in Tasty Thursday, opt-in options can be accessed through the Tasty Thursday banner from the Marketer Offers page in Partner Hub, starting from Friday 11th April.
