Deliveroo’s Value Programme offer: Midweek Special

Midweek Special has replaced Tasty Thursday as a Deliveroo-funded offer for partners with Great or Good Value Programme scores.

The Value Programme provides a suite of offers to partners who deliver great value for money: a superior experience for a fair price. Since Deliveroo launched the programme in 2023, one of those offers has been Deliveroo-funded participation in the Tasty Thursday promotion for partners rated “Great” or “Good” in the Value Programme.

Following experiments, Deliveroo identified an opportunity to strengthen the offers in the Value Programme by replacing the Tasty Thursday offer with an all new promotion: Midweek Special.

What is Midweek Special?

  • The Midweek Special promotion gives customers 30% off their order every Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, with a minimum order value of £20 (€25) and a discount cap of £10 (€10).

  • Unlike other delivery platforms, Deliveroo funds these promotions for Good and Great partners, covering both the customer discounts and the marketing that drives awareness. This investment delivers greater visibility for your restaurant and helps attract more customers, without any cost to you.

  • The campaign focuses on customers who have never ordered from your brand (“new to brand”) or who haven’t ordered recently (“lapsed” customers).

  • Only partners with Great or Good Value Programme scores can participate: Great sites can take part every week with the discount fully funded by Deliveroo, while Good sites have their first two weeks each month funded and can choose to self-fund additional weeks.

Why have we made this change?

Deliveroo's experiments indicate that Midweek Special can generate more incremental orders for Great and Good partners, rather than just discounting those that would have occurred anyway.

By targeting new and lapsed customers, Midweek Special helps recruitment and retention of customers. This new offer can also increase order volume during typically quieter times when dine-in demand is lower.

Unlike Tasty Thursdays, Midweek Special is only available to partners with Great and Good value scores, offering these partners enhanced visibility as Deliveroo will provide significant marketing support for Midweek Special, aiming to make it a recognisable "moment" for customers.

Signing up is simple! Just head to the Partner Hub and look for the Midweek Special banner on the Marketer Offers page. From there, you can opt in and start benefiting from Deliveroo-funded promotions that bring more customers to your door.
