How to add Point of Sale IDs (PLUs) in Menu Manager

This article explains how to add Point of Sale IDs (PLUs) to your menu items in Menu Manager. Adding PLUs links your Deliveroo menu items to your Point of Sale (POS) system, helping ensure orders are processed correctly.

Before you start

You only need to complete this step if you use a POS or till system that requires PLU codes. If you do not use a POS integration, you do not need to add PLUs.

How to add PLUs in Menu Manager

  • Step 1: Log in to Menu Manager.

  • Step 2: Select Edit menu from the home screen.

  • Step 3: Click the three dots in the top right hand corner and select Add Point of Sale IDs (PLUs).

  • Step 4: Enter the PLU code for each relevant item.

  • Step 5: Click Save.

Make sure every applicable item has the correct PLU before publishing.

How to add PLUs using the Menu Manager API

If you use the Menu Manager API, include the PLU code in the PLU field when uploading your menu.

What makes a PLU valid?

A PLU must:

  • Contain numbers only

  • Not include spaces or letters

  • Match the correct product in your POS system

There is no fixed length requirement for PLUs, but the code must match exactly what is set up in your POS.

If you are unsure where to find your PLU codes, contact your POS provider.
