How to check your WiFi connection on a tablet
A stable internet connection makes sure you never miss an order.
Check your connection status
Open the menu on your tablet.
Select Remote Assistance.
Check the connection message displayed:
“The connection is ready!” → Your tablet is connected to WiFi and ready to receive orders.
“Network is unavailable” → Your tablet is not connected to WiFi.
If your WiFi is not working
Go to Settings.
Select WiFi.
Confirm you are connected to the correct network.
Check that the password is correct.
Tip: If you entered the wrong password:
Select the WiFi network.
Tap Forget.
Reconnect using the correct password.
What to do if you are not receiving order notifications
To make sure you receive every order:
1. Keep the Deliveroo app open
Stay on the Deliveroo app screen at all times. If you switch to another app, we cannot guarantee you’ll receive notifications.
2. Check your volume
Set tablet volume to at least 50%.
3. Turn off Screen Saver mode
Go to Settings.
Select Sleep.
Choose Never.
4. Check notification settings
Go to Settings.
Select Notifications.
Open the Deliveroo app settings.
Make sure Override Do Not Disturb is enabled.
What to do if the Deliveroo app is not working
Your Sumni device automatically updates the Deliveroo app when new versions are released. This ensures you always have the latest improvements and bug fixes.
If the app is not loading or responding:
Restart the Deliveroo app
Select the ☰ icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
View all open applications.
Swipe up on the Deliveroo app to close it.
Reopen the Deliveroo app immediately from the home screen.
Important: If you delay reopening the app, you may miss new order notifications.
Check auto-updates are enabled
If auto-updates have been disabled:
Open the App Store.
Select Me.
Turn Auto update back on.
How the printer works
The printer is built into your Sumni device. As long as Bluetooth is enabled, orders will automatically print from the internal printer by default.
How to change the printer settings
You can adjust settings such as font size and print density.
Go to Settings.
Select InnerPrinter options.
If receipts are difficult to read, test different settings.
Tip: Always test changes before opening or after closing to avoid printing errors. Some settings may affect the order layout.
How to insert a printer roll
Open the orange flap at the top of the device.
Gently pull it open.
Insert a printer roll size Ø 50.
Close the flap securely.
How to adjust print density
Print density controls how dark or light the receipt appears.
Select ☰ in the top right corner.
Choose a test percentage (%).
Select Print test receipt to save the setting.
How to reset printer settings
To reset all printing settings:
Select ☰.
Choose Clear all the Settings from InnerPrinter Settings.
