EU product safety and trader information requirements (Ireland)

If you sell non-food products on Deliveroo in EU markets, you must provide certain product safety information to customers before they place an order. This should be provided in addition to any other relevant product information applicable to the product type.

These requirements help ensure you comply with the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), which is designed to ensure consumers can access clear and accurate product information before purchasing.

You must also ensure the contact information associated with your Deliveroo account is suitable for display to customers under the Digital Services Act (DSA).

This article explains what information is required and what you need to do, depending on whether you manage your menu through Menu/Catalogue Manager or Menu/Catalogue API.

  • Household products

  • Pet products, excluding pet food

If you sell any non-food products, you should review your menu to ensure the required information is provided for each applicable item.

How do I add this information to my menu?

How you add the required information depends on how your Deliveroo menu is managed.

If you use Menu Manager or Catalogue Manager

Use the relevant fields within Menu Manager/Catalogue Manager to provide the required product information.

This includes the relevant fields for:

  • Product identification

  • Manufacturer information

  • EU Responsible Person information

  • Safety information

If you use Menu API or Catalogue API

If your menu is integrated via API, you will need to provide the required product information through the relevant API fields.

Step-by-step guidance is available in our API Guidelines. For our Catalogue API documentation, click here.

Trader traceability and contact information

There is also a separate requirement relating to your business contact information.

Under Article 30 of the Digital Services Act (DSA), Deliveroo is required to verify and display certain information for professional traders operating on the platform.

This includes information such as your:

  • Full legal and trading name

  • Business address

  • Contact telephone number

  • Email address

The email address associated with your Deliveroo account will be displayed on your partner page

under 'Allergens & Info', alongside existing business information such as your trading address.

This allows customers to contact you directly and helps Deliveroo meet its obligations under the DSA.

What do I need to do about my email address?

If you're happy for the email address currently associated with your Deliveroo account to be displayed, you don't need to take any action.

If you would like to update your email address, please contact Partner Support or your Account Manager.

What do I need to do?

There are two things you should check.

1. Review your non-food product information

  • Review all non-food items on your menu.

  • Check that the required information is included for each applicable product.

  • Update any missing information using the relevant Menu/Catalogue Manager or API fields.

  • Publish your menu updates.

2. Review your contact email

Check that the email address associated with your Deliveroo account is suitable to be displayed to customers.

If you're happy with the email address, no action is required. If you would like to use a different email address, please contact Partner Support.

What happens if product information is missing?

If required product information is not provided, Deliveroo may:

  • Temporarily remove affected items from sale

  • Restrict product visibility

  • Suspend your account until the issue is resolved
